Lifeguard Training Prep Classes

The BHYMCA trains and the city hires 14 year olds to become Jr. Lifeguards. (Youth Aquatic Safety Assistants). Because this training can be overwhelming for young or inexperienced participants, the Y is offering a class that will prepare participants mentally and physically for the class and the job. Training is open to anyone who will be 14 by the end of April and up. Anyone seeking employment as a lifeguard this summer can benefit from this training.
Class attendance does not guarantee employment at the Y or any city pool.
